The Belfield Group has acquired another company in its growing portfolio of home and interiors businesses. Clinchplain, a foam and fibre converter business in Nelson, Lancashire, which has running for more than 25 years, becomes the sixth member of the Group.

CEO of the Belfield Group, Gary Lasham said: “Clinchplain is a great addition to our Group. It already supplies cut foam for two of our businesses, Tetrad and Westbridge, so we already know them and have built up a good relationship over the years. Their MD has built up a strong team and reputation in the industry and we have retained her expertise as we move to the next level.”

Founder and MD of Clinchplain, Tracey Bentley, said: “I am delighted to be part of Belfield as it presents us with a huge opportunity to expand into new markets.

“I started the business back in 1988 with my brother and we grew it to an £8M turnover with 75 staff. Now seemed the right time to take the business in a new direction and I am looking forward to working with all the expertise across the Group.”
